Today I am honored to welcome Sammy Steigman to the podcast, a Holocaust survivor whose story of

resilience, survival, and hope is nothing short of extraordinary. Sammy was born in 1939

in Chernowitz, then part of Romania and today part of Ukraine. Sammy was a child when he and his

family were deported to the Mogilev-Pedolsky

labor camp in Transnistria, where they endured unimaginable conditions. Subjected to Nazi medical

experiments and starvation, Sammy's journey from the horrors of the Holocaust to rebuilding

a life in Israel and the United States is a testament to the strength of the human spirit.

Now, as a dedicated educator, Sammy has shared his story with over 250,000 people worldwide,

urging us to never be bystanders in the face of injustice.

I am blessed to have him here to share his and his family's experiences,

offering a vital opportunity to learn about the realities of

the Holocaust and the lessons it holds for us today. Sammy, thank you for being here and welcome

I have the opportunity to meet your family and with your children. Boy, and okay, and your

older daughter is a very affectionate, unbelievable, you know, how friendly she is with a complete stranger.
