Summary
Today's Quote:
“Do you have a cell phone with a camera in it? Cut the camera on, and then pan it around the room. Do you see how it just records, just registers whatever it sees? What does the camera think about what it's registering? What beliefs does the camera have about what it's recording? How many opinions does the camera hold about what it's registering? What positions is it taking up about what it's recording? What's that you say? The camera is not thinking at all? It doesn't have any beliefs, opinions, or positions about what it's seeing while panning around? — Awakening Clarity: A Spiritual Sampler by Fred Davis
Today's Practice:
Act like a camera. Using your head like a camera, slowly pan around the room you're in, silently registering the moment without the voice overlay of judgement, labels, and unnecessary commentary. Just silent, loving witnessing.
Whenever a disturbance comes today, immediately pan out. Just as the table and the lamp are included in that scene, so is the anger or fear. Let it be. Just register everything including disturbing sensations purely, without giving them a narrative or a story line. Just look, without thinking. Just feel, without labelling it as 'bad' or needing to tell a story about where the sensation came from or who caused it or what you need to do to make it go away (go for a drink, grab your phone, etc). The moment you're in couldn't be any other way. The couch you're sitting on couldn't be any other way. The fear that is felt couldn't be any other way. You couldn't be anywhere else. It is as it is. And it's all Go(o)d. And once you're okay with it all, IT SHIFTS. Only after you give up your resistance to the moment does It shift. Let go. Relax, breathe, smile. PAN OUT. Pretty soon, you'll know that nothing is the same.
Bonus Practice:
Take the mantra, "just this"-- no past, no future, just this Love appearing as this scene. All that is, is appearing as you holding the phone reading these words right now. And 'later', all that is will be appearing as you walking into the bathroom, or into the kitchen. And still 'later', all that is and ever will be, is appearing as a street, with cars, and trees rushing past, and that body, seated, gripping the steering wheel that's steering the world. You're always arriving at the Home you never left.

| 1:02.6 | already always there's a witness. |
| 1:07.2 | And so in the beginning when you're practicing, you're practicing with your mind like you're |
| 1:11.7 | using your logical mind to watch the mind and the body and the situations that arise. |
| 1:20.0 | But in time, you'll quickly see that there is already always witnessing happening. |
| 1:27.8 | And the true practice is just recognizing that and being in that place, living out from |

| 1:42.7 | already witnessing and you are that loving witness of everything. |
| 1:53.0 | So the initial practice is simple. |
| 1:56.9 | It can just be challenging to remember, especially in turbulent moments, whether that |
