| 0:22.3 | 2017-18, you really started. I mean, you started earlier than that. We'll get into that. |
| 0:27.7 | But really, when you really started raising the funds and buying these properties and really |
| 0:32.7 | figuring out your model for building this big portfolio really happened in 2018. |
| 0:39.4 | Yeah, that was really when, I mean, I had a, I dabbled, I would say, |
| 0:44.6 | and I wouldn't call myself a professional investor prior to 2017. |
| 0:49.3 | And then that was 2018 is when I really kind of learned and perfected the model that I used today. |
| 0:56.2 | You have one of the most unique stories because you didn't get into real estate reading |
| 1:02.0 | like Rich Dad, Poor Dad, or going to seminars. You actually learned it in the military, in the Navy. |
| 1:10.1 | Break that story down because I think that that's fantastic. |
| 1:13.2 | So who was it that gave you the advice to actually buy and invest in real estate? |
| 1:18.5 | Yeah. |
| 1:18.8 | So I guess depending upon, I mean, just even being in the Navy was kind of a story within |
| 1:24.7 | itself. |
| 1:25.3 | But just to fast forward to how I learned, after joining the Navy, I was just lucky enough, I guess, that out of boot camp, it's called A-School, which is basically the first training that they give you after you graduate boot camp. |
| 1:40.2 | And in the Navy, we have a Master Chief, which is the highest enlisted rank. |
| 1:44.6 | And it's kind of their job to be mentors to everybody. |
| 1:48.7 | And there was one Master Chief that just gave our class advice, which is generic advice. |
| 1:54.3 | And he said, told us all this. |
