It's been a handful of games since the NHL trade deadline and the Aves added three players.

Asim Cadry, Nick Waugh and Brett Kulak, sort of at the deadline. We'll count it.

Those three, adjusting back to Colorado hockey, how have you liked the initial impressions from the guys the Aves have made trades for to try and go win a Stanley Cup?

We're starting with some Nick Blankenberger racer is what you're telling me. If you want to talk about Blankenberg, we can talk about him too, but we know he's the seventh-east come game one of the playoffs. Yeah. And like, he's just played his first two games and he's averaging like seven minutes of ice time or something. he's barely getting out there so as a seventh

de-will in that kind of alignment i just give me a hard time no i think i think that the uh the underlying

stuff the process stuff has been a little iffy for me it doesn't help that both of them

were immediately cast into roles that the abs weren't they didn't acquire them to play they

didn't go out and get an azim caddra so he could be the left wing on a long side make the McKinnon and Martin ages they went out and got him and and Waugh because they wanted those guys to play down the middle they wanted to get bigger they wanted to get grittier they wanted to get harder to play against and they want to be good down the middle in an ideal alignment I think it'll be Cadrean Watt together and most likely they haven't they haven't done that not for

a second yeah but they just can't afford to yeah right with the injuries it just sort of upset

that that plan yep and, Wa has been sometimes alongside

Nchuskin and Nelson, which is funny because you want to talk about like a

big boy line. It does not get bigger than that. They are the large boys. But he's

also he's also been alongside like Parker Kelly and Gavin Brinley. They've used him in so many different roles that he has, it's tough to say that he has had a job. Yeah. Since he got to Colorado. But we've seen the hands on display. We've seen really good boardwork from him, like as advertised. This is the guy that we were very familiar with. So it's not, there's no real surprises here. The boots are heavy for an abs player, but he's so big that he doesn't need

him to move quite as quickly for him to cover ground. He's been good and disruptive with the

stick. I've liked his fit in terms of it's easy to look at him and project and see, okay,

here's how this is going to work when they're actually healthy.

And he's actually in the lineup doing the things they got him to do.

Right.

Not this like, oh, he's going to be on your second line right wing.

Like, he's not what they want.

He got power play one time.

Well, that's not his role.
