Well, the short answer is that what I was doing wasn't working.

Feeding my family took way more mental energy than it needed to.

Dinners weighed on me. The longer answer here is that my family was spending much more money

than we should have on eating out and we

were resorting to eating out because I had failed to properly plan for the week's

meals. My husband and I had also put on a couple pounds and we're pretty diligent about exercising.
