0:11.2	Hi, Rachel. My name is Brittany and I have a question or comment, I suppose, in regard to prophecy from others and hearing God's voice. So as a Christian, I think the prophetic word within the
0:24.1	Bible I know is fully inspired by God, but sometimes one of the things that has kept me from
0:32.5	really stepping into understanding that world is the fear of discerning whether a prophetic word from somebody is from
0:41.7	the Lord or not. So I think if, you know, if a Christian walks up to another Christian and says,
0:45.7	God told me this and I put my trust in that or I listen to it and I say, okay, and walk down
0:52.2	that road based off of what that person says, I want to
0:55.5	ensure as a Christian that I am listening to God's voice and God's voice alone. And I think that
0:59.9	we all can say things that like align with scripture, but trusting and knowing that that
1:05.2	actually came from God and discerning when a prophetic word is given to you, that that is truly
1:10.5	of the Lord and not just
1:11.8	grasping on to something that somebody decided to say, even if it aligns with the word,
1:17.3	is something that has always been kind of a barrier for me. So my question is, how do you know
1:25.8	or how do you align your heart with understanding if something is
1:31.7	truly from the Lord or not?
1:34.1	Brittany, thank you so much for sending in your question. And it's actually a question that
1:39.0	I've gotten a lot. There's an entire chapter in my book, Knowing God's Voice voice about how do we know if it really is from
1:47.3	God? How do we know if this is something that somebody else isn't just getting wrong? I think the
1:54.4	thing that I want to hone in on on today's episode is this idea around discernment.
