So, you know, I want to talk about the book. But before we do that, give us a little bit about

how you got into this particular field because a lot of folks are experts on foreign affairs.

But, you know, civil wars as Americans, we tend to focus on our own civil war. But we don't really

think about the things that go into them, especially I'd say in the sort of post-World War II,

almost century. So, tell us how you got into this. So, I started studying civil wars around the

world, not the American Civil War, but all the ones that were happening outside the United States
