Sometimes you can hear somebody joking about a cartridge being so big you could shoot something in the foot and kill it.

I've got a story. I dated a young lady long ago, past century, in fact, I was a young man, well really a late teenager,

well she shot poorly if I may say so and hit that bull in the hoof

shattered his foot he dropped fell off the side of the mountain, broke his neck, and she had her bull.

So even a 243 can sometimes kill an animal by a shooting it in the foot.
