It was a few days ago before I left on the trip where I was listening to the warm-up

show and Al brought up that he thought at some point somebody might have been offended

by the fighting Irish.

How we've seen so many of these different team names go away, you know, obviously with the Native

Americans or the indigenous peoples. A lot of that has gone away in sports. You know, they,

the flying Dutchman went away for Hofstra because of all the Dutch pilots out there that felt

like they were being marginalized. And Al thinks that the fighting Irish because that stereotype of maybe an Irishman who drinks too much in fights could be offensive.

And that Notre Dame should, you know, may at some point be forced to change.

They're not going to change.

No way.

I know you're not. But I'm just, I'm telling you, when you think about the history of that school.
