But a week ago, Met fans got capped with some of the worst news they've had in a long time.

And I've been racking my brain for a couple of days because one of the most storied moments in Met History negatively is an event called the Midnight Massacre.

Now, the Midnight Massacre occurred before I was born, but it was at the trade deadline in 1977 where the New York Mets not only traded Dave Kingman, who was a popular slugger at the time,
