One of the things we talked about late last week was the injury status of O'G.

An Anobi.

And when positive reports came out from great reporters like Ian Begley and others, I was skeptical.

Not of the reporters, but of how is this information being put out there?

And is it even true?

Like, if you're the Knicks, you're going to do your best to let it be known, oh, he may play. Right. And then if he doesn't, at least you force your opponent to having to prepare for him. So Ian Begley came on and he wasn't thrilled with me. And he's like, come on, man, I get great information, which I agree with him on. And so he challenged me to a bet. And he said, Evan, if OG plays on Sunday, because that was the possibility.

Friday felt like a long shot and he didn't.

Then you need to pay for my child care for my kids for a day.

And I said, okay.

And he classily enough said, and if he doesn't play Sunday, I'll do it for you.

Now, what I backed off on is that I don't think O'G not playing Sunday proves I'm right. Yeah, because he didn't need to play. Because if they were up 3-0, which they eventually were, I could see the Knicks, despite Mike Brown denying that that's how this works, I could see the Knicks being ultra-conservative. So number one to Ian Begley, because I saw him tweet at me, hey, should I pay you Zell or Venmo? I can't take anything, bro, because I don't think I won anything. The only way I win something in terms of the O.G. on an Obie seriousness of the hamstring is if he doesn't play game one of the Eastern Conference finals. And that's a week from now. That's a week from now. Maybe more than a week, but a week from yesterday, I should say. So here's

the thing. As soon as the Knicks went up 3-0 and you knew that they didn't need him to play.

And then in that game, you saw Landry Shamit and Deuce, especially De Deuce in game four I don't want to say they don't they didn't need O.G. for the series and I think they knew that. So predicting that he was going to be needed, that's what I did. I thought he was going to play in game four. Right, because you thought Philly was going to win game four. I thought they would need him to re-exercise their dominance on the 76ers.

As soon as you kind of knew, it's like, eye test-wise, that they didn't need him, you knew he wasn't playing.

And that's why I can't take any victories.

So I appreciate Ian's a class guy.

There are no victories.

The only way I take a victory, if you want to even call it that, is if he doesn't play game one. Because if he doesn't play game one of the Eastern Conference Finals, which would have been a week and a half from the injury, then that just proves it was more serious than the Knicks we're letting on. Right. Now, we got a lot of time. And even if OG wouldn't have been ready to play tomorrow night or play the day after that, he's got more time. So I would say, worst case scenario for me is you throw it out, it's neutral, we really don't know the answer. But if he doesn't play game one, then I think this injury was more serious than the Knicks were

letting on. And that was being reported. So we've got a week to find out. Yeah, we do. But I also feel

just better for the Nick supporter because of how well Deuce played, how well Landry Shamett played,

how Josh Hart felt aggressive with the shooting as opposed to,

I'm kind of uncertain what I want to do with the basketball.
