| 0:00.0 | We'll get you set for what should be a very interesting week 11 in the NFL, including the beginning of the James Winston era. As the Giants take on the Green Bay Packers, we'll get to it all as the show rolls on. But on this Friday, following a jet loss, we're joined by the great Joe Beningo. And his call in on a Friday, usually on a Monday, is brought to you by approved oil. Visit freesorate.com by H.L. Gross Jewelers of Garden City. Tortoer orthopedics, the experts at getting you back to being you, and by Audi Manhattan where luxury meets excellence. Joe, how do you feel about what we witnessed last night? Look, I knew they weren't winning a game. I mean, let's be honest. We both knew coming into these two games against New England and Baltimore, they had no shot. I mean, let's be real. I never for a second thought they would win, even when they took the ball down with the opening drive to score the touchdown. You know, to me, the biggest thing last night, you can get on Fields all you want. You know, he made a lot of mistakes. |
| 0:55.9 | He had some good moments, too. |
| 0:57.2 | But, you know, it is what it is. |
| 0:58.8 | Big drop passed by this guy Mitchell, actually a couple of them. |
| 1:02.0 | Some bad penalties that intentional grounding by Fields was a killer penalty. |
| 1:08.7 | Another killer penalty by Stevens on a big sack by Quincy Williams |
| 1:12.0 | before halftime, defensive holding. You had to drop pass by Mitchell that passed down the sideline |
| 1:17.5 | hit him. Best pass that he fields through all night hit him right in the hands. He dropped it. |
| 1:21.9 | He dropped another one as well. You know, I mean, what could I say? The defense, you know, no pressure. They sacked them once. You got away a couple times when they got close. McDonald was a non-factor. He might have been a little banged up still. He, non-factor in the game. The guy's wide open in the second. I mean, oh, my God. I mean, you know, you can't get more open than they were. |
| 1:44.9 | Five, ten yards. Seems like, you know, Hunter Henry killed him. Collins killed him. |
| 1:50.0 | You know, I mean, to me, that's really the story. I mean, the defense was terrible. |
| 1:54.6 | You know, May carved them up. And, you know, that's the deal. I mean, I thought the offense was |
| 1:59.8 | okay. I thought the offensive line played well. I think the offensive line is really starting to come around. It was only really one sack of fields. And I guess they said it was two, but that was the fumble. Right. On the bad snap, which he should have fell on. I don't know what he's doing, picking it up and trying to wrong with it. I had no idea. Fall on the damn ball. I thought they played hard. You know, the Patriots are light years ahead of them. You know, first of all, you know, the two – the quarterbacks are in different stratospheres. Right. And here's the other thing to what I got to say this about the coach, okay? And I still, the jury's still out on the coach, okay? Like I said, they're playing for him. There's no doubt it's not a matter of effort or anything along those lines. But, you know, what he did this week again with Samini when he got all over him. I mean, come on, we all knew that Wilson was hurt. Was this a surprise? |
| 2:52.0 | Now he's on IR. |
| 3:06.7 | Some of the stuff the coach does at the press conference. And here's the other thing, too. After the game last night, I wanted to see what he was going to say about Fields. He never criticized the Fields. I don't get that. Never. and there's no way, I mean, based on what he says, |
| 3:09.5 | I don't think there's any way he's even thinking about going to tie rod. Yeah, I don't think, well, I mean, maybe he does because some of the things that he alluded to made you feel like he's going to evaluate, truly evaluate, and not just, you know, rubber stamp. Well, no, real quick, you know why I think it's different, Joe? So what you heard last night, I agree with you. |
| 3:25.2 | He met the media again today. |
| 3:27.4 | And when asked about a quarterback change, he said, I'm going to evaluate everything. |
| 3:31.5 | And I think that's code for he's going to make a quarterback change. |
| 3:35.2 | Okay. |
| 3:35.6 | That's how I took it at least. |
| 3:36.5 | I think his tone was different today than it was last night. |
