Sometimes it's just legal paperwork catching up to a relationship that already stopped working a long time ago.

Half of America possibly goes through divorce proceedings at some point in time.

And very rarely, thankfully, does it end up like this?

This story is just horrific.

You've got the former Virginia lieutenant governor, Justin Fairfax, who fatally shot his wife, Serena Fairfax, and then he took his own life

early this morning at their home in Fairfax County, Virginia. And the worst part about the whole

story is that their two teenage children were home when it happened. One of the children called 911. Yeah, this is some

breaking news that's coming out this morning about this former lieutenant governor in Virginia. He

served as lieutenant governor from 2018 to 2022 under then governor Ralph Northam. And it was reported

that he had had some claims of sexual harassment filed against him,

you know, in previous years. He tried to run for governor, but lost in the primary, that ultimately

was won by Republican Glenn Yonkin. And there are reports that his wife was planning on filing

for divorce. And then this this morning we get the news of

this murder suicide with the former lieutenant governor in virginia yeah the couple had been separated

but they continued to live in the same house only in separate bedrooms it's being reported here

that the divorce proceedings were underway court appearances were scheduled in the near future it was also being reported that the divorce proceedings were underway. Court appearances were scheduled in the near future.

It was also being reported that the police department said that they had previously been

called to the home back in January after the former lieutenant governor alleged that his

wife had assaulted him.

Investigators reviewed the footage from cameras that were installed inside the house

determined that no assault had occurred.
