Chris, of course, is the anchor of Fox News Sunday.

He has been in this business.

I'm not very good at math, but I believe more than five decades.

So I think he knows a thing or two of what he's talking about.

And Chris, I was saying in the last hour that I thoroughly enjoyed this

book because it was so meticulous in its research and what had to happen in terms of all

these moving parts and particularly people to execute perfectly and here we are now on

August 8th in between the anniversaries between between the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

So we're very happy to have you on.

Let me ask you the first question.

What compelled you to write this book with that event happening 75 years ago?

Well, it's a funny story.

In February, I had wanted to uh what i call a history thriller

which is to take you along for the ride so many history books are written you know obviously

we know what happened here's why it happened or how it happened but i thought you know

they don't know why or how it happened in real time.

Truman didn't know whether or not, one, the bomb would work,
