Hey, we got lots to get to today.

We'll get to the economy. We'll get to Elon Musk.

We'll get to CNN. There's going to be some changes there.

So the job numbers came out.

It was higher than expected.

The number of jobs, 428,000 in April but you'll

see the market is going down still going down right Joe Bartlett yes as we speak yeah so problem is

when you see you just see an overall number you know the unemployment number the employment number

that there's a whole report there and as the experts dig into it,

they see things they don't like. So it can sound like the economy is picking up all these jobs

created. But in what they've looked into, it looks like just the things opening up again

after the pandemic. In other words, the leading cause here is leisure and hospitality jobs. So that would

mean, you know, hotels reopening, cruise lines. So it's just basically old jobs coming back

slowly. And then a lot of people are quitting their jobs. If you notice this everywhere,

they call it the quitting culture and nobody

can quite figure it all out. But workers are just quit all over the place. You talk to restaurant

owners, everybody quits, even if they were able to hire people. They quit two days later.

Offices have people quitting all the time. A lot of it had to do with the lockdown and people working from home.

They got used to working from home.

So a lot of people aren't going to do an hour commute anymore.

No matter what.
