So there's a story over the last month or so where the NCAA is in the process of allowing student athletes to bet on professional sports.

They would still not be allowed to bet on college sports.

They could bet on professional sports.

And the rules ever since legalized sports gambling has gone basically everywhere, like I mentioned, I think it's 39 to 50 states where it's approved.

The rules to which I understand it is that an NFL player, for example, can bet on the NBA.

They can bet on other sports.

They can't bet on the NFL.

That's where they would get in trouble.

That was the Calvin Ridley situation.

But if you're an NFL employee, you can't bet on anything. Right. So you tell me, because I honestly don't know the answer, so I'm really asking, just out of curiosity, we all, for the most part, agree that gambling scandals involving athletes are going to become the norm. It's just going to be a thing that we deal with. It's not going to be the end of sports. It's not going to be the end of gambling in America. It's just going to be

one of those things that hopefully doesn't happen all the time, but it's going to happen. Do you think it would help to have a hard and fast role that as a professional athlete, you can't bet on anything? Probably. It would make it clear cut.

So you're not even thinking about it.

But I don't think you can say you can't gamble,

meaning you can't go play poker or craps or roulette or any of those things that we see in Vegas that is legal for every American.

But I think gambling on sports should be something that you shouldn't be allowed to do. Because it's just, even if it's not connected, it feels connected. And my understanding is that would have to be collectively bargained. So it's not just something that, you know, use baseball as an example. Rob Manfred has to, you're not allowed to do this.

Like, I think they would have to negotiate it in the next CBA.

Same with the NFL, same with the NBA.

So this may be a pie in the sky even discussion, but I was just curious if that would make a difference. Yeah, I'm trying to think if this, if players weren't allowed to gamble on anything and sports books are still a part of the NFL, it's ridiculously hypocritical.
