Kamala Harris is in Florida, I believe today,

because she has created this surge of outrage at the Florida African-American Studies

curriculum that has been agreed on. I think we will have momentarily we should have

what she says, but basically she is calling out that Florida she says has in its curriculum

clay the notion that this is this is her now speaking again hopefully we'll have the audio

momentarily here that slaves in some way benefited with skills that were developed from their time

in slavery in servitude and bondage and what this comes from is a very long and I will give a

hat tip to Charles Cook at National Review for looking at the actual standards and what you see is

there's a whole lot of stuff that includes the need to cover the number of people who died in

transit for the transatlantic slave trade that covers I mean it's it is expansive and does not

pull any punches about the evils and the horrors of slavery but it makes mention in one place

of the way that some of the slaves were able to use skills because there were slaves this is

again just historical fact that were skilled carpenters shipwrites Cooper's built barrels blacksmiths

I mean every craft every trade was something that at different times there were slaves who became

very skilled at doing and Kamala Harris is out there saying that this is somehow evidence of

Florida's racism Rhonda Santas is obviously an attack on Rhonda Santas beyond that you also have

the view saying that whoopie Goldberg said that she wished that they had consulted with some black

people before publishing that this would be the standards for the curriculum it turns out it was

there actually a number of eminent black scholars who came up with the curriculum and have actually

spoken out recently about how and this is Dr. William B Allen who is a black man and he spoke out and
