The Bomani Jones conversation comes up in 20. You're not going to want to miss it. For the meantime, though, we're going to tell you why Bruce Pearl is ridiculous and why Miami of Ohio should be in the NCAA tournament.

It's been a conversation that's carried over from this past weekend when Bruce Pearl

spoke as a television analyst on the case for Miami of Ohio to not be in the NCAA

tournament, despite the Red Hawks having an unblemished mark so far in college basketball. These were the comments

that set fire in the college basketball world over the past weekend. Miami Ohio, here's a deal.

Are we going to select the 68 most deserving teams? Or are we going to select the 68 best teams?

If we're selecting the 68 best teams, then Mimebo Howell is going to have to win their tournament to qualify as a champion. Because as and at large, they are not one of the best teams in the country. And that's going to be a difficult choice for the committee to make. I mean, you've got to play your way in or you're going to lose your way out. It's just that simple with all these teams. For the mid-majors and low majors, it's all about the tournament because they recognize there's only going to be a one-bid league. For the rest of the leagues, it's all about the grind of a regular season championship. And I think that's what matters most. Okay, so there's a lot there. And I want to preface this before responding to what Bruce Pearl was saying.

I love it when guys are honest, when they're not giving coach speak as being an analyst.

But I give kudos to everyone who follows college basketball that saw right through the point

that Bruce Pearl was making. And if you don't believe me and if you don't believe the thousands that saw right through the point that Bruce Pearl was making.
