Well, it's a little too hot out there. I know it's officially summer now, but way too hot out there.

Hey, if you're in Westchester, you hit Phase 3 today. That means indoor dining. That means a lot of stuff.

Long Island, tomorrow you go to phase three uh new jersey uh july

second well that sounds far away but it's not that far away it's like nine 10 days away from now uh

and that's good news so new york uh you'll be uh indoor dining i i bet figure october maybe right maybe right after the election, you'll get to that.

It's very slow.

Last night, it was the first night of outdoor dining in New York.

In some places, it looked great, especially downtown.

They tend to have much bigger sidewalks and a lot of outdoor cafes down there so they're

set up for that uptown it was a little tough some places you know it looked kind of sad three or four

tables outside now a lot of places moved into the street they took over the for you know the curb lane

of the street put a bunch of tables out there but it's not like out in the suburbs there where you've got

grass and trees and water, you're just on a sidewalk with homeless people glaring at you.

It's not quite the same, and it's tough for a lot of these restaurants.

You know, most of them you need 40 tables full just to break even.

So three, four tables outside isn't doing much.

But again, a lot of places, First Avenue, Third Avenue, you know, uptown, downtown, Columbus Avenue.

All those places were built for outdoor dining, and they have tons of tables out there.

So, Joe Bartlett, you've been doing this now five weeks down there. Yes, indoor and outdoor. I must tell you don't want to go indoors. I don't want to go indoors yet. I'm fine with

the outdoor stuff. The indoors, not ready for that yet. Yeah, the dilemma up here this week is so

you're so happy to be eating at a restaurant, go outdoors, so beautiful to sit, but it's about 97 degrees and humid.
