Why now?

Well, there's two reasons why now.

The first is it was abundantly clear that if Iran came under attack by anyone, the United

States or Israel or anyone, they were going to respond and respond against the United

States.

The orders had been delegated down to the field commanders.

It was automatic and in fact it, it beared to be true,

because, in fact, within an hour of the initial attack

on the leadership compound,

the missile forces in the south and in the north, for that matter,

had already been activated to launch.

In fact, those already been pre-positioned.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealing Iran already was preparing to launch ballistic missiles,

so we had to strike first and we had to strike hard. We romanticize restraint as virtue,

but in reality, waiting often just means you're outsourcing the violence or the timing to someone else.

And if you genuinely believe that threat is real and imminent, choosing to go first, it's not about ego.

It's about ownership of consequences.

And guess what?

The Trump administration is going to have to own this one way or the other, no matter how it ends.
