Now, I've got one of my Democrat colleagues in the Senate and said, oh, I can't go without pay.

I've got a mortgage.

He's making $174,000 a year.

You know what the average net worth of a Democrat senator is?

$3 million.

Yikes.

So people in the Senate want to make sure they get paid, but they're okay with TSA agents not getting paid. Yeah, sounds like it. TSA agents can't pay the mortgage, can't pay the rent, can't put foot on the table. They have to go to food banks in my state. They're quitting because they're sick and tired of being treated like dirt. It's the third shutdown in six months.

That is Senator Rick Scott from Florida, and he's revealing that a Senate Democrat said he doesn't want to go without pay during the shutdown because he wouldn't be able to pay his mortgage.

Can't miss a paycheck without losing his house. Meanwhile, you've got TSA agents making between $4,000 a year. Can't miss a paycheck without losing his house.

Meanwhile, you've got TSA agents making between 40 and 50 grand,

and they're the ones who are actually going without.

The audacity is breathtaking.

By the way, that was Florida Senator Rick Scott saying that he is the gentleman

that challenged John Thune to become

majority leader of the Republicans in the Senate and unfortunately lost. Maybe if Rick Scott was there,

we'd get some movement on the Save Act. Maybe we'd get some movement on some other things because

I heard more fire in Rick Scott's belly just there than I have heard and Tom Thunes in his entire tenure.
