I read from Anatoly's Russian Space Web, a Soyuz-2-1B frigate rocket carrying the Lunar

Globe, Lunar-25 lander, lifted off from Pat-1S in Vastachni, August 11, 2023.

It was EDT August 10 in the United States.

Anatoly, this is wonderful, it comes as a surprise because over the last years we've only

talked about Roscosmos in retreat, Roscosmos were grateful, Roscosmos and investigations

of a corruption.

But now we have a genuine mission to the moon.

The Lunar-25 is the lander mission, so it's an unmanned, robotic, controlled Lunar

lander designed to go into a polar region of the moon, south, south, pole region.

And the primary mission of that spacecraft is to, it's actually two-fold.

The first one is to test new modern 21st century landing system to deliver cargo on the

moon and eventually actually human expeditions as well.
