in February 1888, standing as a marvel of modern engineering and luxury.

Its grand red-roof-turrets and pristine beachfront made it an immediate success, drawing

guests from across the country who sought the opulence and tranquility promised by this coastal paradise.

In its heyday, the hotel was a symbol of grandeur and innovation, boasting electric lighting, a rarity

at the time, thanks to the ingenuity of Thomas Edison himself.
