I thought it might be a good idea if we said something about what self-awareness is

obviously people might think of themselves as being aware of themselves in some sort of vague way

but as a philosophical issue how are you going to be using this notion of self-awareness?

Yeah so it's helpful to think about self-awareness as something

that's pre-philosophical and very concrete, very experiential, so it's not some sort of

abstract analysis, what is the self or what is the mind?

And it's self-awareness because it's got some sort of first personal content.
