So, welcome Hooverers.

These are mad old times, aren't they?

So listen, as much as humanly possible,

I need you to know is my intention to keep this podcast up. And I want to talk to people who have a

clue, what our eating lives are going to be like over the next few months and or who can offer

advice or help that's genuinely useful. But most of the time, I'm going to be looking

to talk to people and provide the usual light, cheerful, eating-themed relief from the theme

of horror that is most of our lives for a bit for now. Starting today's episode, actually,

it's Mother's Day in two days. If you're listening to this on the day it goes out,

and so for a special treat, I'm hoovering in this episode with my actual glorious mum,

Nikki Suttle. She is my brilliant friend and she is also the person I inherited my

obsessive recipe browsing addiction from.

So in terms of the podcast generally, I am doing things at the moment where, well, my brilliant editor, Emma, is also helping me set up ways of remote recording the podcasts in the future.

And where it's safe and possible, maybe still recording them in person with people if I'm sat very far away from them outdoors and we're all well but whatever we will see I'm on the case

the next live show was meant to be at the macfest in May which has sadly been cancelled this year

for obvious reasons and I wanted to say something as well quickly about food banks if you use them or you need help getting food to your home, do.

Fuck any shame.
