We have our first second round series preview today between the San Antonio Spurs and the Minnesota Timberwolves. You guys know the joke before we get started. We're on the road to 150,000 subs. That helps us a lot as well. All right, let's talk some basketball. So the wolves actually won the season series two to one. As is usually the case, lots of guys missed regular season games. Wemby only played in two of the games. that was the two games that came down to the final sequence of possessions. Gobert missed one of those two Wembe games. So we had like a Joan Barangay game in there where he actually played pretty well and had like a nice short roll read to Dante Divencenzhenzo in the right corner in that sequence. But got a little overwhelmed by Wemby around the basket on a

missed layup late. Devin Vassell missed both of the games that Wemby played in. So that's just

kind of a natural part of this series preview kind of thing. We look at the regular season games,

but there's almost always a lot of noise in there that makes it kind of strange. And not to mention

the fact that the Timberwolves team is down three of their top seven players. So that's it kind of strange. And not to mention the fact that the Timberwolves team is down three of their top

So that's another kind of giant red flag as we go into this series.

And one of the things that stands out to me every single year that I do my second round

previews is you become abundantly aware of the massive gap and intensity between the

regular season and the playoffs. Like you're prepping for the first round. You and intensity between the regular season and the

playoffs. Like you're prepping for the first round. You're used to watching regular season basketball.

So then you watch the footage and it looks relatively normal. But then you watch the first round

and it's a bloodbath. And then you go back and watch regular season basketball as you prep for

round two and it kind of, it seems like a literal joke.

It was actually funny.

I was watching one of the Spurs' Wolves games this morning.

And the Spurs announcers were just kind of talking about how the wolves that were only

six and four in their last 10 games and how in their last game, they had given up 140 points.
