Hey friends, it's Kristen. Article of Faith 13 begins with five simple words. We believe in being honest.

In elementary school, I'm ashamed to admit this, but I lied a lot. I often lied to get out

of trouble. I would blame other people for the things I'd done. I would make up stories to

excuse my bad behavior or I would let people believe a falsehood instead of speaking up.

1:16.8

advantage of dishonest loopholes. Those things aren't necessarily fun, but what is really fun is

1:23.4

feeling peaceful all of the time. It is so wonderful to be able to look anyone in the eye

1:29.0

and know that I have always been completely honest with them.

1:32.2

That is a fantastic feeling that makes any discomfort worth it.

1:36.4

So the takeaway of the day in five words or less is honesty always pays off.

1:42.3

Thanks so much for being here today and for coming closer to Christ with me one minute at a time.
