Summary

We made it to hometowns – Jared’s favorite episode of the season. We managed to get more emotion packed into one episode than we have the whole season. Jared and Kay talk through each guy’s hometown date, most of them were your typical Bachelorette style visit. But every year there is always one family that surprises us. This year that award went to Tino. Jared presents his theory behind what happened with the off-putting interaction while diving into how it could have been better. As always, the episode finishes with would you rather, fantasy suites/hometowns/send home, and awards. Follow @thebetchelor to stay up to date with all things Gabby and Rachel. Hello and welcome to the Bachelor podcast. I'm Kay York City and I'm Jared Freed. It is great to be back here with you Kay. What do we think? How are we doing?

0:13.0

I, I mean, I can't believe we had so many hometowns last night. I did like the back and forth, but you and I just spoke about this right before we turned on the app and we didn't get to see Avens. We still have another hometown.

0:28.0

I didn't even realize I didn't even realize there was another one like and I have to say my favorite episodes are limo entrances and hometowns. I think those are the two most fun episodes they add the most to like look at there's the most there's the most action so to speak.

0:47.0

There's a lot to take in the families, the families are never camera ready, you know, like, you know, for some reason, right? You know, because you know the type of person that applies to go on a reality show is like, you know, they have a not they want to be on TV.

1:06.0

Yeah, and that does not mean their parents want to as well. So it is so wonderful. I love the awkwardness. I love this episode and to think I mean we got done.

1:18.0

Didn't even dawn on me that was one of the guys was missing like I was like this. I mean, that's why it moved so quick. So there was never really time to think about that.

1:31.0

Yeah, and I didn't even realize it until they showed the previews at the end and they're like next week on the bachelor at and it shows even in hometowns like, oh, fuck, even.

1:42.0

Right. And and it's funny because they as they did this episode, they left the, you know, the juiciest hometown for last.

1:50.0

So you're like, there's a piece of me wondering, what does that mean about Avens hometown? It was it just was it nothing or was it something so big that they had to leave all episode for you know, you don't you don't know which what this means in the grand scheme of things, you know.

2:07.0

I think I think it's Avens hometown next week. And the mental all question mark.

2:16.0

Okay, I think that because they previewed the mental all as well. Okay, well, I think it would be wonderful because the mental all doesn't have that's my favorite episode.

2:26.0

You really? Oh, I love I love the mental all because I just that episode and women's all because it brings back so much drama and you kind of get to see you get to see the glow ups.

2:40.0

Yeah, I like the all these people seeing themselves on TV and they're like, oh, maybe we try this instead. And then you know, they're hashing out all this drama because they didn't get to see what other people are saying in there in the moment interviews or anything.

2:56.0

So you're really seeing the the episode not from your point of view, but from everyone else's. And it just I just love the drama.

3:05.0

I love the drama. Listen, I'm a I'm a drama head myself. I love the drama too. But I always think the women's tell all has more of that than the men's tell all the men's tell all like I just remember them all being like it looks like a frat bro reunion a little bit.

3:20.0

And I'm just like, okay, I'm but I am happy though that there's like a there's actual episode that get you know, it's not like a three hour episode of just trying to get big on Instagram.

3:30.0

Like I I'm happy that we get a little bit of a piece of the hometown still.

3:35.0

It's really their last chance because if they didn't if they were sent home early and somehow made enough of an impression to be brought back for the mental all.

3:46.0

They're like, okay, I really got to show it up here because I didn't get to on TV.

3:52.0

These become paradise auditions not even bachelor auditions. I would say because that is even too much of a long shot for all these guys but paradise is within reason.

4:03.0

But let's get into today's episode. There's a lot to go. Are you ready? All right.

4:08.0

First we start out in New Orleans with Gabby and Jason where we find out our Jason can't dance and isn't ready to be engaged. Rachel gets to meet Zach's family, including Patrick war Burton obviously.
