Summary

I like to focus on podcast topics that are important to YOU!  Recently I had a mom ask me to do a podcast on international adoption.  I don't really have much experience with that, but I have a friend who does!  Sarah has 10 biological children and 5 children adopted from Ukraine.  In today's podcast, we talk about how God's plan unfolded in Sarah's family's life, how God knit their family together through adoption and what the adjustment has been like. (The newly adopted children are 7, 9, 11, 12 and 16) Even if you are not planning to adopt, maybe you know someone who is.  Learn more about what this process feels like so you can be effective support for those who are adopting! I have a very special guest.

I love one of the things I like to do is to

0:40.0

answer questions from moms and do podcasts with topics and content that matter to you. And I

0:47.1

recently received a message from a mom who wondered if I had any experience with international

0:52.0

adoption. Now, I don't personally have that experience.

0:56.7

I have a friend who has gone through it. And my guest today has adopted five children through

1:06.0

an international adoption experience. And we're going to be talking about that here in just a

1:11.3

minute when I introduced her. The reason that I wanted to cover this topic is I wanted, first of all,

1:16.6

to encourage those who are thinking about it, praying about it, feeling led to do it, who are in

1:22.7

the process, who are maybe in that part where you're bringing the children home and trying to adapt to life at

1:29.9

home with these new children.

1:32.7

And the second reason was to help those of us who aren't going through the process,

1:38.9

but maybe we know someone who is so that we can be more knowledgeable about the process and what these families

1:46.7

are experiencing so that we can provide effective prayer support and just be able to not just

1:55.1

prayer support, but practical help as well. But before I dive into that, I want to let you all

2:00.6

know that the mentoring course that I do,
