President Donald Trump is warning that those responsible for kidnapping Nancy Guthrie will face the

quote, most severe federal consequences if she's not returned safely.

In a phone interview with The New York Post, Trump signaled that those consequences could include the death penalty.

Nancy Guthrie, the mother of today show co-host Savannah Guthrie, was taken from her home outside Tucson, Arizona just over two weeks ago.

The FBI is testing DNA from a glove found near the home that resembles the one worn by a suspect seen on her doorbell camera footage the morning she went missing.

The suspect could also be seen in the video wearing an Ozark Trail backpack that agents are working to track down.

So far, investigators still have an identified a motive for her disappearance.

Could this have been some type of burglary gone wrong, a home invasion? Was this

someone who wasn't targeting Nancy Guthrie specifically? Or could it, in fact, be related to her

relation, obviously, with her high-profile daughter? All of that is on the table right now.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department says the Guthrie family members, including siblings and spouses,

have been cleared as possible suspects.

Police say two people have been killed and three others injured in a shooting at a hockey

arena in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Two law enforcement officials briefed on the situation tells CNN that the gunman

appeared to have been targeting members of his own family.

They say the shooter died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
