Summary

We almost made hockey great again in America but Team USA did fall in OT to Canada in the final of the 4Nations tournament.  But let's keep it real here... better to lose at hockey than to lose $200 billion a year to their country.    KKHI Co-host Stephen Miller took over a news conference at the White House Thursday and gave a perfect Civics 101 lecture to the ridiculous media.    Meanwhile, Trump welcomed Tiger Woods to the White House and met with PGA Tour and LIV golf officials to broker an agreement for the two to work together or merge.    Actor John Travolta owns a piece of KC history.    Travis Kelce is giving vibes that he may have one more year left but it would look different than before.  The Royals play their first spring training game.  A tennis star breaks down in the middle of her match, you have to hear this.    And our song of the week is the break up song that has become an American anthem.

Well, you can't win them all, and if you stayed up late for it on Thursday night,

0:18.5

you saw Canada beat the United States in the Four Nations Tour, the inaugural Four Nations tournament, three to two, and overtime at the eight minute mark.

It was a disappointing ending to a game that sort of felt to me like all night long the United States was not going to win.

The folks in Boston were really into it at the beginning, but they became very quiet as Team USA went out a lot of opportunities early in the game and didn't capitalize, then fell behind one-nothing before getting a two-one lead.

And then that wasn't protected, and you just kind of felt like, well, this may not be the night.

0:52.6

It gets to overtime and Canada wins three to two.

Here's the best part. We had nothing to lose in this. This meant 25,000 times more to Canadians than it

1:03.1

did Americans. It was fun for us because we felt like we were taking something away from them

1:09.3

that didn't belong to us.

1:11.5

It almost felt like stealing.

1:13.3

Hockey's their thing.

1:14.9

It's all they live for when it comes to sports in Canada.

1:18.8

And for most of us, we don't watch a lot of hockey or follow a lot of hockey until something

like this comes along.

1:23.5

Folks, this was a really cool event.

1:25.0

This essentially was their All-Star Week. And instead of

1:28.6

what we just saw with the NBA and the All-Star game and what we see with baseball and some of the

1:33.2

dumb things, this is pretty cool. They take the best stars of the game. They pair them off from

1:37.9

the four nations that largely make up the NHL players and they have a tournament. And it's, they've really invented something that people care about.

1:47.7

And I loved it.
