But yeah, as we're speaking, the Phillies have yet to play on Friday, beginning their homestand with the Chicago Cubs,

Ranger Suarez, making his Citizens Bank Park debut in 2023.

It's been great having him back in the rotation, though the rotation is still with its woes on occasion.

And in general, Liz, this is a Phillies team that doesn't feel like has changed very much since our initial frustrations crystallized earlier in the season.

But before we get to any of that, I think we got to address the most important issue of the day.

Great news.

The New York Mets fan group, the 7 line, will not be throwing out the first pitch at the baseball game where they were going to be throwing out the first pitch again at Citizens Bank Park.

They are going to let a, I believe, 10-year-old kid who is a Phillies fan, do it instead.

If you weren't following this story, this was a repeat of what happened last year when a New York Mets fan group called

the Seven Line bought enough tickets as a group that they qualified to throw out the

ceremonial first pitch and then did.

And then the Phillies just let that happen.

And, you know, it got kind of swept under the rug because the Phillies went to the World Series.
