Today's interview is with the historian author and broadcasted Lawrence Wies,

who's made several documentary series for BBC television,

with a particular focus on the Second World War.

Lawrence's latest book is Hitlet and Stalin,

which examines the actions of the Soviet and Nazi leaders during the course of the Second World War.

He's spoke to BBC History magazine editor Robata.

So Lawrence, many books have been written about both Hitlet and Stalin,

but what do you see as the benefits of the comparative approach you take in your book?

Well really, to answer that really, I have to say how I
