All right, we are back. This is day six celebrating our coverage of the Ultra Chaud du Montblanc and all other events associated with UTMB Week.

0:08.3

We are in our northeast Chamonie studios a little bit away from city center.

0:14.7

And yeah, real quick, thanks to our partners, NAC, Norte, Gourde, and Raid for making all of these conversations possible.

We have the pleasure today of being joined by Hilary Gerardi. Hilary, how are you doing today?

0:26.8

Yeah, I'm doing pretty well. I'm happy to be here. I didn't have to come very far to join you.

0:34.3

And, you know, there's a lot of hustle and bustle around and, you know, it's kind of nice to be able to

0:40.3

be on the periphery of that and not be, you know, all anxious about an imminent race and looking

0:47.6

at the weather and stressing out and all that. So I feel relatively relaxed.

0:59.8

I don't know if you were there, but I think you were, and I think this is an interesting place to start.

1:05.4

The first year that I got into trail and mountain running, I was living in New England.

1:08.3

1:18.3

And there was like 30 of us there. I'm pretty sure you won either outright. The only time I did it,

1:24.2

I was once. And I won for women, but not outright. Okay. Crazy course. You it, I was once, and I won one for women, but not out right.

1:25.1

Crazy course. You know, it was like kind of, parts of it were kind of skyrunning style, and I think that's why I really liked it. Yeah. That's so funny that you were there. I almost forgot about that race. Yeah, and I actually, before this conversation, I went online and looked to see, like, where that event still stands.

1:45.3

And I think it's, well, it uses parts of the long trail, I think. I think small parts on Mount Mansfield there.

1:52.0

Yeah. And then, I guess for whatever reason, they held it biannually. Okay. But I thought that was

1:58.3

cool because I have since gone a totally different route.

2:02.6

I'm not really like a great runner, but just the events that I've pursued are much more tame,

2:06.7

and that's our lone intersection, I think, is the 2016 Mansfield double up.

2:11.4

That is fun.

2:12.4

I mean, I have done precious few races in the U.S., so the fact that you were there for one of them is like, you know, pretty serendipitous.
