Okay, so we're posting this podcast a little early for you because our anticipation is we are headed to the Animal Hospital on Wednesday to pick Cabo up.

After two nights in the hospital, after his surgery on Monday. We're very excited to do this.

The doctor says he's progressing well. We have not been able to see him in any way. They don't want

him to get excited. He had a pretty severe and serious surgery to his back and spinal column and cord,

and they want him to remain very calm.

And they want us to get in there tomorrow and try to get him to the car and get him home.

And he's going to be basically in a crate for three to four weeks, probably four.

We've got a pen set up for him that he can rest comfortably in, but he's going to be doing a lot

of laying around letting that back heal.

He can't really do much other than go out and do his business,

if in fact he can. He has not been able to do that yet because he can't walk yet and eat,

which we can help him with. We have a sling. We can help him get up in front of his bowl and eat.

We know we can get that taken care of. So we're excited that it's gone well.

The doctor believes that things are going to be very good for Cabo in the future.

It may take several days before he walks, but he believes he will walk.

There is movement in the back legs. because when the spinal cord apparently gets pinched before you get all that stuff off the spinal cord,

it takes a while for your brain and the neurology.

I don't understand any of it.

It's why I'm not a doctor.

I'm sure we have doctors listening and people who've been through this, humans that have been through this that understand this way better than I do.
