Hey guys, welcome to episode 110 of Macabre Misf fortunes. I'm Jerry. I'm

Tracy. So Tracy on the regular hillbilly horror stories episodes over the years we've

definitely covered many stories involving people getting killed by elevators.

Oh. So being killed by elevators.

Oh.

So for those of you who don't know,

there's been a lot of changes over the years with elevators.

It used to be that elevator doors were just manually open. You just walked up to them,

opened them with your hands. And then sometimes people would step in there. the elevator wouldn't be there.

Oh my gosh.

So they would go straight down the shaft.

So that would eventually, because there were so many deaths like that,

it would lead to them you know making

changes to the doors and putting sensors in them and stuff like that well I mean I'm

I'm glad it did but did people not notice that the didn't they look well I mean sometimes no. I mean there's been stories

about a caterer who backed into it. Open it up and backed into it. Wow. So now the

doors are equipped with sensors so that if you get caught between the door and

whatever, you know, something gets put in that plane of the door's vision, the lasers will keep it from closing.
