SEC Peter Burns. P.B. Just like that, two weeks away from kickoff, just over two weeks, I think.

Feels, you know, like the offseason gets shorter every year. First off, how is your summer?

Were you able to play any golf? Not enough. And why the hell is Chris Blair ducking me on the podcast, right? I mean, like, again, I mean, I much rather talk to you than CV, but I mean, the fact that he just, you know, no shows. I mean, just brutal killing me. I mean, you think I'm Chris Doring or something or what? I told you before we started, I got Cole Cuebla coming on tomorrow, so he'll get his, you know, bald guy football talk.

So they'll be breaking down the X's and O's.

I was going to say, yeah, that's definitely not my expertise.

That's one of the things that I love about it is that I can talk about it as kind of from the fans perspective, you know, just being a guy that's an LSU fan. And so I got to, you know, this all season, I've looked at it as like there's two different ways to how you view LSU. One is via the media lens that we have. And then one is the fan, right? And so and so you know as the fan aspect of it this whole

offseason i've been as excited about this team as i have been in a long time and and maybe going back

to even 2019 when you kind of felt something special was brewing like it feels like Blake baker

getting there you know in year two Sloan getting another year underneath his belt. And honestly, the way that they handle the transfer portal, it gets me freaking fired up, you know, and then I put the media hat on and I'm like, well, but they haven't won an opener in five years. And I've tempered my expectations this year. It's a fool me once, shame on me type of thing,

fool me five times.

I've completely changed my mindset going into this first game this year.

Yeah.

So you're looking at it going, I don't want to get hurt again.

Exactly.

That's the mindset of it.
