I'm Kevin Allison, and every Thursday we release these special episodes where we look

back at content from our earlier years.

The first two years of Risk episodes, the ones from October 2009 to October 2011, were

behind a paywall for a while.

So now, every other Thursday, we're rerunning them for free.

We ask that you keep the historical context in mind.

Today in 2021, there's a different consciousness.

We've always asked storytellers to speak in as unfiltered away as possible, and yet to

tell their stories with as much compassion as possible.

Even so, I'm sure the storytellers and the host might have worded some of what they

said on these old episodes differently if they'd been recorded more recently.

As always, the title of the whole series, Risk, is itself a content warning.

This week, the 22nd episode of Risk ever to be heard, it premiered in July of 2010,

and it's called Heroes.

I drink my milk and I don't check no expiration date, and I show up to their port by the time

they board the plane.

And when I'm in a rush, I'm parking the handicapped space.

I use a public restroom when I never wash my head.

Oh, look at my mom, how moron's taking care.

That's right.
