Summary
On the April 25, 2024 episode of /Film Daily, /Film editor Ben Pearson is joined by /Film staff writer Bill Bria to gather around the virtual water cooler to talk about what they’ve been watching lately.
In the Water Cooler:
- What we’ve been Watching:
- Bill saw Hereditary in IMAX, the first two Maze Runner movies, and Cool as Ice.
- Ben caught up with The First Omen and Immaculate, watched all of Conan O’Brien Must Go, and saw Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid.
- Listener e-mail: Lorenzo from Sarasota, FL, wrote in about our recent episode where we talked about our favorite vampire films. Lorenzo says “both of my favorite live-action vampire movies were mentioned, but my number 1 favorite vampire movie is actually an animated movie, and I wanted to give it a shout out: The Batman vs. Dracula.” He calls it “underseen and underrated,” and explains that though it’s set in the continuity of an animated series called The Batman that debuted in 2004, “the film is a standalone story that can easily also be enjoyed even without the context of the show.” He says it’s “atmospheric and creepy,” it stars Peter Stormare as the voice of Dracula, and it even gives us Vampire Joker, with Tom Kenny’s Penguin basically filling the Renfield role and delivering comedy gold throughout.”

| 0:56.9 | I believe they plan until a year from when they started so I think maybe until next March of 2025 |
| 1:08.0 | They're going to be showing what are their classics in IMAX in the format, remastered and re- what do they call it? |
| 1:12.0 | Optimized for the format so this was obviously Ariaoster |
| 1:16.9 | his debut film which I've seen many times before and adored because I'm a |
| 1:21.4 | big astro fan and this was revelatory in a couple ways. One was just the, by virtue of the fact that, okay, let me explain of course to maybe our listeners who maybe don't know. The AMC City Walk IMAX is the one of the two IMAX |
| 1:35.2 | screens in Los Angeles where I'm based which have the generally the full one by |

| 1:47.2 | True gigantic. |
| 1:48.2 | I guess there's maybe a bigger one. |
| 1:50.8 | If there's a regal somewhere out and I don't know if it's in Cino. |
| 1:53.7 | No, it's maybe further out or something, but it's, there's one that's maybe slightly bigger that's in California, |
