We are now 267 days away from the election.

Tonight, the former president filed a last-ditch appeal

with the Supreme Court to try and keep

his election interference trial for moving forward. Donald Trump is asking the

justices to keep the case on hold while also blocking a lower court ruling that we heard last week, which rejected

his claim of total immunity from prosecution.

And his lawyers cited the 2024 election as one reason to delay the case.

Today, Trump was also focused on his other trial.

He appeared in federal court in Florida

for a closed-door hearing in his classified documents case. His defense team has been pushing to

see more of the evidence. Trump was not required to be there, but he showed up

anyway. And even as a criminal defendant, Donald Trump remains the GOP front runner.

And this weekend, while campaigning in South Carolina, he issued a threat that raised

alarms about what could happen if he returned to the White House.
