What Now? Today I am joined by author, historian and broadcaster, Alex von Tunzelman. Hi, Alex. Hi, Jav. How are you doing?

Yeah, good, thank you. Well, you know, good at the moment. It depends what the news you're going to tell me for the week has been.

What's a strange story? Well, let's start with something a bit fun. This is Osaka in Japan, where a giant underground pipe rose more than 10 meters out of a construction site, nearly kind of bumping into an overpass over it. It just sort of

arose by itself from the ground. There's brilliant pictures of it online. I mean, although the thing is, when you look at it online, you're like, surely that's just a support for the like overpass motorway going over the top of it. No, it isn't. It just popped up. And there's no explanation of this. Well, they're kind of looking into it. Like, people couldn't really understand what the hell had happened. but there is a kind of sewer being built underneath, which is basically sort of to prevent rainwater flooding.

But basically from the point of view of people watching it, this giant steel structure arose.

of the,

the mole man. Do you know about the mole man in East London who is sort of digging these tunnels under his house and caused all sorts of issues such as this. So maybe there's a Japanese mole man. There might be a mole man. Or Godzilla. Yeah. Because it is Japan.

You know, so you never really know.

And I think that's little people thinking.

Anyway, it seems fine.

And let's talk about Angela Rainer. So Angela Raina's speech that she gave warned that the Labour's running out of time in government and has been making all sorts of headlines this week with the former deputy prime minister

distancing herself from Kirstama and calling for a urgent change of course for the party.
