We're talking to Brittany Barnett, Brittany's an eternity, a criminal justice reform advocate, and author of the new book, A Knock

at Midnight, a story of Hope, Justice, and Freedom.

Brittany's been working for years to get people released from prison who have been sentenced under unjust

sentencing guidelines to life without parole for first-time drug offenses.

You know she's working against incredible odds and yet maintains the sense of hope and it's it was such a

pleasure to talk to her especially this week. Saturday June 19th is is Juneteenth. It's the holiday that celebrates the

emancipation of people who had been enslaved in the United States. That quest

for freedom is one that Brittany is carrying on today through her work in the criminal justice system.
