Listen, a former Oxford police officer will spend the rest of his life in prison

and avoid a potential death penalty conviction following a plea agreement this afternoon.

He's a man of conscience who did a terrible, terrible thing, and he expressed remorse in his

statement.

He's asked God for forgiveness, asked the Clayton family for

forgiveness. So a very sad day for all families involved. It's certainly a terrible tragedy for the

Clayton family. There is a plea agreement in the 2019 shooting death of a mother of four in Mississippi.
