I'm dealing with my first ick in my current relationship

and I can't tell if I'm overreacting or if this is a real issue.

I've been with my boyfriend for six months now.

He's handsome, funny, and kind.

And things have been going really well except for this one ick.

He has this habit of constantly calling me cute, and it is driving me crazy.

The other night, for example, I spent ages getting ready for dinner, I put on this gorgeous

dress, did my makeup, and felt like I was really looking hot.

I came out of the bathroom, excited to wow him,

and his response was, aw, you look so cute. Cute? I wanted him to say I looked beautiful, sexy, stunning,

anything. I'm a woman in my 30s, and the word cute just feels so childish.

I know he means it as a compliment, but every time he says it, it makes me feel like a kid

instead of a grown, confident woman.

It's not just about how I look either.

If I share an idea or tell him something I'm excited about, his go-to responses, that's so cute.

We just need to get this mophon a pheosaurus. A dictionary, all the things. So here's my question. Am I overthinking this?

Is it just one of those little quirks you have to deal with in a relationship? Or is it a sign of

something bigger? Could it actually be a breakup worthy offense? I genuinely don't know if I'm being too
