Welcome to the Sherlock's highlights podcast with me, Georgie Corridge Cole. This week,'m joined by Lou Hath, Heather Steele and Georgina Bleski. Morning ladies. Hi. Hi Lou. Hi. How was your weekend? Oh it was so nice. I feel like I've had a little mini break. So where have you been? Tell us. It was my friend's birthday yesterday. So we went to a hotel in the Cotswolds called The Rectory. And I felt like we were in the south of France. It was so amazing. The weather has been obviously incredible. It was absolutely perfect. It's in the most gorgeous grounds. They've got a pool. So we just sat by the pool and ate and drank and read and had such a lovely time. It's a really, really beautiful hotel. Anyone is looking for somewhere to go? It's like an hour, 20 on the train from London. And where exactly is it? It is near Malmesbury. And good value? Really good. Our room was 140. Which I think is pretty good. Because some of those Cotswolds, yeah, pushing well like the 200. Yeah, it's getting quite pricey now, aren't they? No, it was really lovely. And just having one night when we went kind of first thing on Sunday, so we kind of made the most of two days. And it was perfect. Yeah, we often do a Sunday night. I love a Sunday night. And it's always more reasonable. Yeah, much more. Sometimes they want you to stay two nights if you do on a Friday, when it's Sunday you can just do one night. Actually still busy two days. And it was just super relaxing. And they've got really gorgeous gardens and they had like croquet on the lawn. It was just so nice. I haven't seen photos of it before it. Yeah. I saw your Instagram stories. And I think at the potting shed, which I think we've talked about quite a lot on some of our kind of pub roundups I think it's owned by them and it's just kind of down the road so you've also got a really lovely pub bit like Barnsie house which I also really recommend a bit more expensive but they also in the village pub down the road which is more reasonable for a night away and again really good food

so you can stay in the pub and then use the hotel facilities and things well it's owned by the same

people that own corkut manor but barnsley doesn't have as many facilities but it's kind of a bit more

grown up less children not such a sort of family destination, but it's really lovely.

I just love the courts walls. Yeah, it's just so perfect. I felt very British, but it was just

perfect. So I really highly recommend it. Good tip. Thanks. What else have people been up to? Heather,

I'm looking at you. Yeah, all I've been doing is watching the football. I've got like massively

into it, which I always forget I do, because I don't really like watch normal club football unless it's sort of on and there's nothing else to do. But yeah, I've been watching even the non-England games. I've just been... Have you? Yeah. I think because my boyfriend's really into it and so are friends. So there's a really good pub around the corner for where I live in Brighton and it's

quite small it's not too busy and they've just got it on and it's just a really nice atmosphere

especially when it isn't an England game people are just kind of picking which side to go for

and there's not as much at stake so it's just quite enjoyable you don't have to watch it you know like

a hawk you can kind of have a drink and a chat.

No, a social get together.

Exactly, yeah, I've been really enjoying it. Well, I agree. So we, having watched the England match on Saturday with the kids, and actually that was quite interesting, instead of sitting in a pub with loads of pints around, I was sitting watching it with a cup of tea. But actually, it was really good. and then switched over immediately to see the Russia Croatian.
