I miss the sound of vinyl records.

Actually, you know, I think I miss the smell even more, you know, that plastic-y smell.

And having a real physical object to hold that somehow magically makes sounds when you run a needle through its grooves.

The first audio drama I ever fell in love with was on vinyl record.

When I was seven years old, for Christmas, I got a copy of a record called The Story of Star Wars,

which was basically Star Wars, edited to the length of a record called The Story of Star Wars, which was basically Star Wars, edited to the

length of a record novel.

If this is a consular ship, where is the ambassador?

Commander tear the ship apart until you found those plans and bring me the passengers.

I want them alive.

And this is in the days before VCRs.

So if you went to Seed Star Wars and you wanted to re-enjoy it in the comfort of your own home,

this record was one of the only ways you could do it.

And so I listened to that over and over and over again. I'd

stare at that record cover and watch the table turn round and around. And I miss that. I miss that

experience. This is the truth. I'm Jonathan Mitchell. And it's been a long time since I said those

words. I've missed that too.

But I'm hoping that you will get to hear them a lot more very soon, because we are planning
