In Rifthold, news of Aelin’s wildfire and fight against Norrak throws the kingdom into chaos. Plans for escape unravel when the King of Adarlan intercepts them. Aedion is tricked into giving up his identity, and he is restrained while the King kills the true traitor in their midst. Dorian’s magic is revealed in his attempt to save Chaol, who flees to Anielle while his prince is shackled. High in the Ferian Gap, Manon and the Thirteen win the war games, but at what cost?
