So our series in Hebrews took an interesting turn a week ago.

That's a little, I know it's like brand new. They put this thing on the side where it just automatically puts it on vibrate.

It's crazy. So you're like, oh, coming back, Savage from the Super bowl yes but our hebrews series took an interesting

turn last week and last sunday is so much more than one that i am going to say oh you should

listen to that when you get time last sunday we talked about something that we're going to continue

to talk about as a church gauge henry brought a word on sab Sabbath, y'all. It was absolutely phenomenal. And if

you missed it, yeah, some of y'all were here. Some of you are like totally missed that. You have to go

back and watch it because I want you to think about all the spiritual disciplines that we highlight as a

church, either implicit or explicit. Like there's some things that we're like, hey, we're going to give and we do bringing

time every week, and we're going to open the scriptures and we're going to read God's Word.

We're going to pray and we pray all throughout our gatherings.

We sing songs of praise to God.

We actually want the discipline of Sabbath, stopping and resting and delighting in God to become as normal of a spiritual

practice at Auburn Community Church as all those other things that I just listed. And if that is going

to happen, there is going to have to be a major shift in how we think about and relate to the idea

of Sabbath, not as an Old Testament law that became obsolete with Jesus, but as

a practice in the life of Jesus that he invites us into to remember that we are not God

and we are called to rest. Now, I realize that this is going to look different for everybody.

This is not a challenge that everybody needs to take off the exact 24 hours.

In fact, for a lot of you, 24 hours is probably not going to work until you adjust a lot of things about your life.

It could be a 12-hour period.
