Well, when we talked about the double-edged sword last Sunday, if you weren't with us, we talked

about how the Word of God is alive and active. And Scripture describes it as a double-edged

sword. Now, that might sound like scary, but we said that the double-edged sword for a Christian

is not coming at you for the purpose of destroying you. It's pursuing you for the purpose of healing you.

Think inner surgery on your soul. So when you and I open ourselves up to more than surface

level sermons, to more than self-help books, to more than just a verse here or verse there,

but like, word of God speak and read me from the inside out.

Change me.

You open yourself up to a new level of activity of the Holy Spirit,

but I didn't tell you this last week,

and some of you experienced it over the course of the past week.

You also open yourself up to more attacks and resistance from the darkness.

Some of you this week, after implementing some of what we talked about, okay, I'm going to let the word of God go to the deep spaces in my soul.

Nothing is off limits, God, transform me. You start responding to Jesus that way. Don't be surprised if you get the attention of darkness and the enemy.

Because, and this is just being 100% honest with you the enemy could

really care less if you have another inspiring Sunday at church he's not intimidated by a song that

made you feel a certain way or a sermon that you're going oh that was so good it spoke to me right

where I am but the enemy starts to mobilize

against your life when you start to open up the full story of who you are to be transformed by

the spirit of God. You start to go, nothing's off limits. You start to look back generationally

at things that need to get changed. And then all of a sudden, you're like, things are not getting

easier in my relationship with God. They're getting harder. And I'm experiencing resistance,
