I really just want to talk today about this idea that heaven is open.

I know that seems like a crazy idea, but we've been talking in this shift series that

we only have today. That's why Jesus taught us when he said,

when you pray, pray like this, give us today our daily bread.

Give us today what we need because Jesus understood that we only have today.

You can only experience the power of God today.

You're like, well, Louis isn't the power of God going to be enough for us tomorrow.

It will be if tomorrow is ever called today, but as long as it's called tomorrow,

God's power is not going to be good enough because God's power only works in today.

And we only have today. We don't have any other days.

And I want you to know that today heaven is open.

That's what these stories were about today.

Today God is alive. Today God is at work.

Today God's grace is enough and His reach is enough to take anybody from anywhere they are.

And to bring them all the way to the place that He has always dreamed that they can be.

There is enough mercy. There is enough power in God today right now.

Heaven's open people. And God's open for business.

The kingdom of God is open for business today.

And so I just want to take a few minutes to flesh that out and to talk about what just happened in baptism

because some of us have been around church all of our lives.

And some of you just came to church today.

And you're like, I'm not 100% sure I fully understand the whole thing about baptism.
